Public Records Requests
Washington law requires state and local agencies, including public schools, to make public records available to the public. This law, the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) and School Board Policy 4040 support the public's right to be informed about the conduct and operations of the District.
Public Records Request Process
For the most timely and efficient response, requests for school district records should be directed in writing to the Public Records Officer by email, letter or fax. The District recommends using its Public Records Request Form 4040F when submitting a request for records.
