Job Fair 5-15-2025
Jenkins High School to Host First Annual Local Job Fair
CHEWELAH, WA — Jenkins High School will open its doors on Thursday, May 15, 2025, for the first annual local job fair—an event designed to connect area businesses with job seekers aged 16 and up, including students, parents, and community members.
The fair will run from 2:00–5:00 p.m., with the first hour (2:00–3:00 p.m.) reserved exclusively for high school students and the remaining time (3:00–5:00 p.m.) open to the public. Local employers are invited to showcase available positions, internships, and career pathways, and to engage face-to-face with potential hires. No company is too small to participate; vendors are encouraged to bring promotional materials, job applications, and any hiring information they wish to share.
Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments—sliders, cowboy beans, and coleslaw—courtesy of 8251 BBQ, which is also offering job-embedded youth opportunities. “This fair is a win-win for those looking to explore career options and for businesses seeking fresh talent,” said ASB advisor Chelsi Boswell.
Businesses interested in joining the fair can still register. For more information or to reserve a booth, please contact Shawn Anderson at Jenkins High School (509) 935-8671 or [email protected]. Don’t miss this chance to build lasting connections with the next generation of workers!
