Levies, Bonds and Projects

These pages contain information on levies, bonds, and capital projects in the Chewelah School District.

Use the sidebar on the right to explore the different options.

For more information on the levies that will be on the February 2024 ballot, see the flyer below or read more on the pages in the sidebar.

Levy Funding

Our community has approved several EP&O and Capital levies over the years to provide services for students and make improvements to district facilities.  Thank you, voters, for your support!

The links on the right have information on past levies and what they were used for, as well as information on the levies that will be on the ballot in 2024.

EP&O Levies help fund athletics and activities, maintenance and grounds, and additional services for students.  They are also used to fund additional staff to provide more support for students and to reduce class sizes.

Capital Levies help fund improvements to district facilities and systems.

Other Funding Sources

Many improvements in the district were completed using district funds, or with funds from grants.  Grant funding lets us make improvements without taxing our local community.  For more information on these projects, see the pages for Grant Projects and District Facilities Projects.

Plans and Surveys

The last two pages in the sidebar have information on our long-range plan for facility improvements, and also share the study and survey completed in 2023 that evaluates our current facilities and lists priorities for future improvements.
